The Bighorn Mountains will provide the grand backdrop for the 13th Annual Big Horn Mountain Festival, held this year on July 7th, 8th, and 9th. With Longmire days kickin’ off Wednesday, Johnson County and Buffalo in particular has quite the week transitioning from the celebration of Craig Johnson’s hit series into the celebration of bluegrass music from near and far.
The festival starts with The Occidental Jammers on Friday at 1:00 pm, a crew well practiced in the art of enjoying the Historic Occidental Hotel every Thursday and blessing whoever is around with a good time and tunes for all. Local (ish) groups from Buffalo, Sheridan, and Tensleep will share a couple of stages at the fairgrounds with pickers from Wisconsin, Montana, Kentucky and more.
Music starts Friday and Saturday at noon and the picking and grinning likely won’t cease till the wee hours following the parking lot jams. Tickets are online HERE. Don’t waste any more time, grab your guitar and we’ll see you at the fairgrounds in Buffalo this weekend!
