Raise a glass, or several, this weekend to the finest home brewers of Johnson County at the Powder River Brew Fest. August 27th, Harold Jarrard Park will be packed full of music, barbeque, and yep, you guessed it, beer!
It’s hard to imagine that this event, almost didn’t happen! Wyoming State Law states that home brewers can’t make money
dispensing beer, seeing as how they do not have liquor licenses. However, the Brew Fest is simply sampling their products, not purchasing. Thanks to our Senator, Dave Kinskey, a bill has now been passed allowing Powder River Brew Fest to not just happen – but to be enjoyed by everyone.
Brew Festers are so appreciative of Dave’s hard work going to bat for their beloved beer, one has now been named after him. Don’t miss the Kinskey Kölsch!
Admission to the event is only $20 per person and designated drivers get in for free! This event is all about the community, coming together and raising a glass to the end of summer. Throughout the day, take part in the Calcutta and Silent Auction benefiting Camp Courage of the Jason’s Friends Foundation. See you at 3pm Saturday, Johnson County – cheers!
