Here in the Bighorns, summer is just getting started! As the fun of July 4th has now come to an end, we are looking ahead to this weekend, July 8th-10th. Johnson County is the place to be; both Longmire Days and the Big Horn Mountain Festival are kicking off on Friday.
The 5th Annual Longmire Days in Buffalo, WY honor the television hit, “Longmire” by Craig Johnson. Johnson loves living in Buffalo and Johnson County so much, he wrote books about it. From there, his stories became the highest rated A&E show in history, and is now produced by the entertainment giant, Netflix.
So what exactly takes place at Longmire Days? The real question is, what doesn’t?
Autograph sessions, car shows, poker, acting workshops, performances, 5K, food, and endless fun for all ages. To view the full event schedule, check out: bit.ly/LongmireDays
Is there anything cooler than a Bluegrass Camp for Kids? We don’t think so. The Big Horn Mountain Festival offers several workshops throughout the weekend, of several musical varieties and all ages. Wantto enjoy a jam session, but not necessarily play in it? Enjoy the sounds of several incredible bands such as, Horseshoes & Hand Grenades, The Helen Highwater String Band, and Steep Ravine, just to name a few.
Camp out on site at the festival in tents, cars, or RV’s. Or choose to stay at one of Buffalo and Johnson Counties welcoming inns or motels. The whole weekend will be full of opportunity to make unforgettable summer memories! See full details at: bit.ly/BigHornMountainFestival
There are no excuses to stay in this weekend – get out there Johnson County, and start soaking up the fun this summer!
